Man assaulted wife over ‘Nsesawa’

A palm wine tapper, identified as Yaw Tibembem, has assaulted his wife at Mlayem TDkrom in the Lower Denkyira Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The husband reportedly committed the act during a heated argument over dried herring locally known as Nsesaawa.

The victim, Millicent Argen, popularly known as Abena, narrated to Adom News’ Kwasi Siaw that her mother brought the fish from a trip that was to be served among the family members.

But her husband expressed dissatisfaction with the portion they had and queried why the mother-in-law benefitted from a larger portion.

This, she explained, led to an altercation between the husband and wife while all attempts to calm them down proved futile.

The victim’s brother, Anthony Obeng, who confirmed the incident, said Mr Tibemdem removed burning firewood and smashed it on his sister’s head, causing her to lose consciousness.

Mr Obeng, however, stated they were yet to lodge a complaint with the police.

Tiktok skit resulted in arrest of two content creators

Two people were detained by the Ghana Police Service after being identified in a widely shared video, one of which had a fake police officer in it.

The accused are social media content creators who create videos for an online TV station, according to a statement from the police.

The two were detained for dressing up as police officers in a three-day-old TikTok video depicting an encounter between a cop and a driver.

Two people are shown arguing on the side of the side in the comedy scene.

As he encourages other drivers to park properly, one of them can be seen wearing a police uniform and getting into an argument with the other while speaking in pidgin English and twi. “Police officer in an open brawl with a driver,” read the caption on the video.

We would like to warn the public against behaviors that tend to harm reputations as the inquiry continues to determine the source of the attire and get the culprits ready to face justice.
