Gunmen shot a pastor to death and got two congregants injured

Gunmen who broke into their church at Diepsloot attacked the pastor of the church and two members of the congregation.

During the violent robbery, the mystery gunmen shot and killed the pastor while also injuring two other people.

When the incident was reported to the police, they said that cases of attempted murder and murder had been opened.

A group of Christians who had gathered to pray in Diepsloot became armed robbery victims. The thugs attacked the congregants and killed the pastor.

Two members of the congregation reportedly suffered significant injuries during the terrible incident.

According to News24, the event took place just before midnight. 50 Christians were reportedly gathered at their church for an all-night prayer service when the armed robbers opened fire. They allegedly made off with cash and other personal items like phones.

During the assault, three individuals were shot, including the pastor. Witnesses hurried them to the nearest hospital, but the pastor passed away there. According to reports, the two additional victims are doing well.

A manhunt for the culprits has been started, according to Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo, a spokesperson for the Diepsloot police, who confirmed the occurrence. He further mentioned that cases for homicide, attempted homicide, and business robbery had been opened.

He stated: “The pastor was one of three shot victims who were brought to a nearby hospital, where he passed away shortly after arriving. The two additional patients have critical but stable conditions.”

Additionally, the police begged people in the public to contact them if they had any relevant information.
