Old tweet criticism not having an impact on business but getting threats rather – KiDi
KiDi appeared as a guest on the Daybreak Hitz program on Accra-based Hitz FM today, Monday, October 3, 2022.
When asked if the social media backlash over allegedly nasty tweets he sent out as early as 2012 had damaged his music career, the prolific hitmaker said, “Not that I know of.”
“I mean, I would have wanted all that attention to go to my EP, that’s what I would have wanted, but at a period when it was occurring, I had this weird state of mind,” he continued after murmuring that under his breath. I thought, “Wow! Where were all these people when I released the EP? People are coming out and attacking me.

He provided the following comment when asked if the criticism had affected the streaming of his music: “Not much. Although these things won’t be known for a while, work is still being done.
The Ghanaian international music act said, “I couldn’t even afford to take a step back to reboot and recalibrate, because there is work to be done, so no matter what you’re going through, you have to be up in the morning, and ready to go.” The Ghanaian international music act was on a European tour when some Twitter users started uncovering and spreading said old tweets on Wednesday, 28 September 2022.
Additionally, Mr. Dwamena disclosed in the interview with Andy Dosty that since the event on Twitter on September 28, he has been receiving threats.
I’ve been receiving threats for, what, 4 or 5 days now, he added.
My entire family is being hit by gunfire. Without elaborating on the threats he was receiving, he continued, “Even those who have nothing to do with the problem are taking heat.
KiDi currently has his second extended play (EP), titled “4Play.”
