“Government’s Way Of Distributing Food Is Absurd And Senseless” – Critic Writes

Published

Entertainment Critic and writer, Lionel Osei has raised concerns on how Government is distributing food and food items amidst the spread of the global pandemic, Coronavirus.

On his facebook page, he stressed on the fact that the distribution is just securing an excessive spread of the virus and not rather curtail it. He pointed that the unholy and uneven distribution only boost an emergence of unplanned people meeting together. This in turn makes it very easy for the virus to spread way faster than anticipated.

He then gave out ways that would help government distribute without putting citizens at the risk of spreading the deadly virus.

He wrote:

“Government partially locked the country down to help contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus but it seems their action on the distribution of free food and food items is proving otherwise. The main reason for the partial lockdown initiative is to control excessive social gathering which is the most common means of the spread of the virus but the manner of the distribution of food is rather encouraging it. Seeing women, children and even men scramble for the food that is to be shared, rubbing bodies against each other is appalling. The personnel chosen also seem care-free, as if their mission was just to bring the foods to their various allocated areas. The exercise professionally is absurd and senseless.

I entreat government to reconsider and restrategies in their manner of distributing food and food items. A house by house distribution I think, is the best way to go by sharing these relief items. They should learn from how they distributed mosquito nets(although it was not 100% perfect). Afterall, what was the population census for or the electric address system each house paid for???”.
