The Real Truth Behind DJ Slim, MC Portfolio, Black Sherif, 3Music and KTT’s Uprising

Published

on

It is just awkward when everyone is claiming to have directly or indirectly help Blacko’s Kweku The Traveller to propel into it’s greatness.
First of all, let’s take a look at 3 Music Award’s ‘Rainfall’ stunt that they claim was the major factor that made the song thrive. Did they, 3 Music opt KTT amongst many of Blacko’s hit songs for his first performance? If no, then their influence on the song is little. In fact, most Nigerians and other outsiders creating content with the song are not even using the ‘rainfall’ concept but are putting the lyrics to play in their videos.
Secondly, Mc Portfolio is claiming DJ Slim’s incessant attacks on Black Sherif triggered the song’s shine. On the contrary, I think otherwise. Most people in Kumerica know Portfolio is a clout chaser, and his career is entirely built on that. He didn’t even know the difference between, ‘Asakaa’ as a genre, and ‘keche’ or saka’ as the pidgin of Kumasi’s asante twi, but he purported himself as the PRO of the movement. He even did same when he was with Flowkingdom, attacking Sarkodie here and there in the stead of Flowking Stone, meanwhile he was not even told by anyone to do that. For someone like that to make a claim like that, we should know where he is coming from.
For DJ Slim too, most of our industry folks especially those in Kumerica know he is a bigger version of Portfolio in character. He is a snake, hoodoo, jonah and a jinx to the entertainment fraternity in Kumerica. We saw what he did to Flowking Stone, Kweku Flick, Asakaa Boys and now Black Sherif. He projected on live radio that the Asakaa Boys should pull out of 3Music Awards 2020 but later he was seen in bed with them later on. This is to say, they are all genuinely for the trends and money and would like to put every artiste under their umbrella and radar, and if you don’t want to be, they have to create an agenda to pull you down. If Black Sherif’s KTT had failed woefully, they would have come to say, it was because what they brought up against him was true.

Black Sherif’s KTT has reaffirmed the old axiom, “Who Jah bless, no man curse”.

In a recent interview with Metro TV, the talented artiste boldly shared his thoughts on the rigid expectations placed on Gospel musicians in terms of dressing and music style. He argued that it’s limiting and demeaning to condemn artistes who don’t fit the traditional mold, simply because of their appearance or sound.

Using his own experience as an example, Joseph Matthew revealed that some gatekeepers in the industry have rejected him due to his dreadlocks and unconventional sound, which deviates from the typical ghanaian Gospel music norm. He emphasized that what truly matters is the message of hope and redemption, not the messenger’s appearance or style.
