Ghanaian Born Singer-Songwriter Nana Kottens Inducted Into The U.S Delta Omega National Honorary Society For Public Health
Ghanaian born singer/songwriter Lewis Kofi Nana Antwi also known as Nana Kottens was officially inducted into the New York Medical College (NYMC) Delta Alpha chapter of Delta Omega, the National Honorary Society for Public Health on May 24, 2022.
Delta Omega is the national honorary society for graduate studies in public health. The society was founded in 1924 at the John Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health (now known as the Bloomberg School of Public Health) to promote excellence and recognize accomplishments in public health. Over 98 years later, Delta Omega has expanded to more than 100 chapters throughout the world and has more than 15000 members from top echelons of graduate schools and programs of public health, as well as the public health community.
Membership is highly selective and recognizes outstanding performance and devotion to the field of public health as well as to the protection and advancement of the health of all people. Alumni are considered for induction based on their outstanding commitment, leadership, scholarship and/or service to the field of public health. It is anticipated that candidates work in the practice of public health can serve as a model for future generations of public health practitioners.
Nana Kottens is a 2015 Master of Public Health (MPH) graduate of New York Medical College. He is currently a Commissioned Officer with the U.S Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and assigned to the U.S Food and Drug Administration as a Biotechnology Investigator. His primary responsibilities are conducting investigations and inspections of domestic and foreign manufacturers of licensed biological drugs and devices, and deploys to assist with public health emergencies in the U.S and overseas. Most recently, he deployed during the COVID19 Pandemic. Nana Kottens continues to contribute immensely to the field of public health, he serves as a mentor to many aspiring public health students, students and graduates. He has offered numerous career counseling to students and graduates, and maintains good relationship with public health institutions in the U.S.
It is not surprising to see Nana Kottens receive such a national honor in the field of public health. His first single “ Mama Don’t Give Up” was released in 2020 to raise awareness/support for individuals and families battling opioid addiction and mental health, and has so far gained over one (1)million views on YouTube. The singer/songwriter latest single “Call Girl” recently received three (3) nominations for best “ U.S Based Male Vocalist of the Year, U.S Based International Collaboration of the Year & U.S Based Hiplife/Hiphop Song of the Year” at the Ghana Music Awards USA nominee announcement. In addition, he has to his credit lovely songs like Odo, and Mama We Miss You. He is also schedule to release another single titled “One More Chance” in December 2022 and his first album “ Never Scared of Trying” on June 30, 2023.
He promise to use music and science to promote and advance public health around the world. Nana Kottens is a true inspiration to many aspiring musicians and public health practitioners.

Renowned Ghanaian musician and humanitarian, Shatana Gh, recently shared her remarkable story of resilience and determination on Kingdom 107.7 FM’s Evening Vibes with Virgin Blogger.
Shatana Gh opened up about the lesser-known aspects of her journey in the entertainment industry, revealing the immense struggles she faced. Despite choosing the genuine path, her journey was marred by hardships, including nights spent with an empty stomach alongside her family.
In a shocking revelation, Shatana Gh disclosed that media personality, Delay, once advised her to leverage her physical appearance to achieve success. However, Shatana remained resolute, refusing to compromise her values.
After years of perseverance, Shatana Gh has emerged victorious, living her best life without sacrificing her integrity. Her remarkable journey serves as a testament to the power of staying true to oneself.

“Delay Advised Me To Use What I Have To Get What I Want” – Shatana
Singer and philanthropist, Shatana has revealed some dark sides of the industry that does not come to light in the Ghanaian showbiz industry on Evening Vibes with Virgin Blogger on Kingdom 107.7 FM.
The show monitored by the Ghvibe team saw Shatana lay bare the unrosy parts of the Showbiz industry that she encountered when she was fresh to the game.
She expressed that a friend she knew took her to Delay to groom her and help her get her song to the next level.
Shatana explained that Delay told her she was beautiful so the best way for her to get up there was to use what she had to get what she wanted. Shatana said this disturbed her because she did not envision that life being part of her journey.
Lastly she advised up and comings in various departments of the Showbiz Industry to hold on to their originality and not break their resolve to get up there because only God Almighty blesses.
