I WAS RESIGNED, I DID NOT RESIGN, ROCKSON BUKARI REVEALS
Contrary to information that Hon. Rockson Bukari has resigned prompting a release by the Director of Communications at the presidency on behalf of the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo accepting his resignation, our sources deep at the Jubilee House says Mr. Bukari was forced out of office with the supposed letter accepting his resignation.
According to our source, as at close of Monday, 29th April, 2019, Mr. Bukari left the Jubilee House at around 4PM without tendering in any letter of resignation. He was emphatic that he was not resigning as the said tape was doctored for the purpose being pushed, according to him.
When our network followed-up to Hon. Bukari at his residence following news of his resignation, he had this to say “I knew they were after me. They wanted me out for a long time, but thought the opportunity is now here to act. I was emphatic with my decision not to reign, I told the president that in his face when he asked me what my decision would be”.
According to Hon. Rockson Bukari, he was called into a meeting which included the president, the senior minister, the secretary to the president and Gabby Osare Otchere-Darko where he was asked to tender his resignation to save the government. “I asked of why the same pressure wasn’t brought on the Senior Minister who made more dangerous comments on the same subject some days ago”, he added. “I dare whoever issued that letter of acceptance to produce the said resignation letter submitted by me”, Mr. Bukari dared.
Hon. Bukari was said to have resigned on Monday 29th April, 2019 following a leaked audio recording with a reporter with the EIB Network, negotiating a cover up of galamsey in his area. According to the letter signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Presidency, the President has accepted Mr. Rockson Bukari’s resignation letter citing the leaked audio as his reason in avoidance of disruption with his official duties.
