Ksi:Central Market Fire outbreak:If Gov’t Doesn’t Come To Our Aid We Are Heading To The Village….. Traders Lament Profoundly

Fire outbreak at Central Market has become a canker. It has become apparent that every year we have to experience a fire outbreak at Central Market.

About 30 stores including light pole, bags, sponges, towels,bails of clothes and huge sums of money got destroyed in the Easter Friday inferno.

According to the watchman the fire started around 9:45pm but could not immediately reveal the cause adding that the fire was massive to the extent that the fire fighters had to use 7 water tenders to douse the flames.

Some of the traders whom their stores got burnt burst into uncontrollable tears after seeing the remains of their property.

Speaking with Nana Kote Beka, the disheartened traders bemoaned that they have gone for loans to start business adding they have children, wives and husbands catering for now that our stores, money and other items have burnt what will they do.

They revealed that it was barely 6 years ago and fire gutted the same place.

They have therefore
pleaded with Gov’t to come to their aid else they will find it arduous to get ends meet or better still head to the village.

Meanwhile the cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be known.
