SP – AHMIDU NEEDS MORE TIME TO FIGHT CORRUPTION – DEPUTY INFO. MINISTER
The deputy Minister for information, Hon. Pius Enam Hadziede has admonished Ghanaians to have patience with the Special Prosecutor , Mr. Martin Alamisi Ahmidu over his guest to fight corruption in the country.
It has been a year now since Mr. Ahmidu received presidential approval to take office as the special prosecutor of the country but critics by Mr. Ahmidu says he is not performing to expectation, and calling for his resignation.
But reacting to these contriving issues in the media , the deputy information minister call for calm as the accomplished corruption fighter is on top of his job and will soon brought to bare persons cited for all forms of corruption allegations.
He noted Ghana’s democracy is a fledging one, and matters sensitive as corruption cases ought to pass through a detailed litmus test before unveiling the outcome into the Public domain.
He bemoaned that, some individuals with clandestine motives are seeking to thwart the efforts by Mr. martin A.B.K Ahmidu by spewing lies and propaganda against his office, but assured the public, and avowed the SP will not be detracted from carrying out his legitimate duties as stipulates by the state.
On the issue of a purported lists making rounds in the media suggesting publication of names of corrupt state officials and public servants, cited for prosecution, Mr. Hadziede debunked the allegation and further alluded it is a mere fabrication, and empty ploy by critics by the Akufo Addo Government aimed to belittle the commitment by the President to fight corruption.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram of the greater Accra region whilst responding and reacting to matters raised by the minister on GHOne TV “state Of Affairs” programme, revealed the Akufo Addo government is endemic in corruption amidst cronyism and nepotism. He chided Mr. Ahmidu for occupying the SP office and wasting taxpayers money for no work done.
The vociferous Ningo Prampram lawmaker, observed there have been several and countless allegations of corrupt cases leveled against government appointees, but the President lacks the political will to bring them to book. Furthermore, he quizzed, and ridicule the commitment of the President to fight the canker visa- vie , the job description of the SP, and questioned whether both are mutually exclusive to stem the fight against graft.
The National Democratic Congress legislature, noted President Nana Addo, has virtually cleared all persons and appointees in his administration at the seat of government ( jubilee House) who have been perceived by the public as having involved in corruption after taken office as head of state of the republic.
Hon. Samuel George Nertey (MP) emphasized that, the President epitomise as someone who gives false hopes and exhibits loads flowery in grammar to deceive vulnerable Ghanaians, but in the end nothing to show by way of cogent policy directions to fight a canker which have become albatross, and ridden the state off both human and financial resources of the nation.

“Senseless Movie Is Better Than Pornography” – Shatana Slams Martha Ankomah
Philanthropist and female songstress, Shatana has replied famed actress, Martha Ankomah over her utterance on Kumawood movies.
Martha in an interview has asserted that most of Kumawood movies did not have substance and were baseless in terms of storyline. Shatana has rebutted her claims saying, that these ‘senseless’ movies are better off than movies with excessive sensual and erotic movies that Martha heavily featured in.
She expressed that there are most veteran actors and actresses who are finding it difficult to erase some movies they did when they were young because their reputation now is at stake but can’t.
She further issued a word of advice to young and upcoming actors to be on their guard as to the type of roles they take up because some are life altering in the near future.

“I’m Not Afraid Of Shatta Wale, I Will Face Him Squarely” – Andy Dosty
The feud between Ghanaian dancehall best, Shatta Wale and revered DJ and journalist, Andy Dosty got a bit personal when Shatta took to a stage and insulted the latter’s mother. Before then, they were very cool friends, colleagues that got most jealous about their religious friendship.
Yesterday on Asempa 94.7 FM’s “Showbiz Review” entertainment show, Andy Dosty opened up for the first time on the issue. Speaking to the host, Obidombie Adu Kumi, Andy confessed that the issue is deeper than what the public see and have heard. He furthered that he and Wale still talk sometimes.
He explained that the relationship with Shatta Wale only turned sour when Wale came insulting his mother. Andy also said that he is not utterly angry about the whole issue and that if he was, he would confront Shatta Wale face to face.
Andy Dosty then told a story where he and Bisa Kdei were in a car and Shatta Wale came to greet Bisa and insulted him.
