AVOID DOMESTIC VIOLENCE —- DOVVSU COORDINATOR

DSP Susana Dery, the Ashanti regional Coordinator of Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, DOVVSU, has called on the couples, various household members and the general public to desist from any action that can ignite conflicts among themselves.

She said, it behoves the household members, couples and others to treat each other fairly to avoid violence.

DSP Susana Dery stated this during a 2-day training on data management system for DOVVSU personnel in Ashanti region, which was supported by the United Nations Population Fund, UNFP.

She maintained that, domestic violence is one the major challenges confronting the nation.

She advised the parents to take proper care of their children.

According to her, some of the children are left to wander off without parental control, and without ordinary rules of good conduct.

Isaac Kyeremateng, the UNFP focal person, advised the personnel to use the knowledge they have acquired in their various work places to enhance their daily activities.

He urged them to ensure that the training will have an impact and transform the old system of data management into an advanced level.
