Meet Ebueye, The New Promising Afrobeat/Highlife Artiste
Ghanaian temporary music is bedrocked by Hi-life Music. One of the few musicians who have held on tight to the genre as an identity is upcoming artiste, Ebueye. What makes Ebueye quite unique is that he laces his hi-life prowess with the Afrobeat genre as well.
Ebueye known in real life as Ebo Quansah hails from Ekumfi Abor in the Central Region. He started his elementary education at his hometown Ekumfi Abor, then moved to stay with his late sister at Tema community 8 where he was enrolled at the community 8 No. 1 basic school. After his sister’s death, his brother-in-law later got a job at Juapong in the Volta region where he stayed for almost 2 years. He finally completed JSS at the 37 Military Hospital Basic School in 2005 and got admission into Methodist Day Senior High School, Tema.
It is then that he got an encounter with artistes like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Stay Jay and Eno Baronyin Tema. This heightened his desire and passion for music and he started his career from there.
Ebueye started his music journey when he was very little and he sang in churches but began his music journey officially in February, 2019. Some of his released songs making waves in the musical circles are, Onaapo, Woara, Titi Asore and Your Body. He has also arranged in the pipeline Dodo, Dogo Yaro, Sweeter Than Wine and Lover which he entreats his fans to watch out for.
It is Ebueye‘s vision that he will put hi-life music and Ghana on the map and become a global icon.

There’s Nothing Like Worldly People, Most Of These People Possess Good Characters – Herty Bongreat
Gospel artist Herty Bongreat recently shared her thoughts on why she chose to collaborate with secular artists Sarkodie and Trigmatic. Her response highlighted the importance of looking beyond surface-level appearances. “People we perceive as ‘worldly’ often possess remarkable humanistic qualities, even surpassing those who claim to know Christ.”
Herty emphasized the need to engage with others before making judgments. “Comparing their lifestyle to that of some people within the church reveals a stark difference.”
In addition to her thoughts on collaboration, Herty also shared valuable advice on parenting in the digital age. “As parents, we must be proactive and involved in our children’s lives, especially online. Assuming we know what they’re doing can lead to unawareness of potential issues.”
Herty’s words serve as a reminder to approach others with an open mind and to prioritize involvement in our children’s lives.
