Ghanaians were super wowed when actress, Yvonne Nelson mentioned Sarkodie as one she had an abortion for in her autobiography, “I am not Yvonne Nelson”. Sarkodie being angered by the mention, put his thoughts in a song to bring his side of the story with extra shades. In fact, this story did massive numbers and bloggers had a field day exploiting it.

  • Afua Asantewaa Aduonum Sings For 126 hours to break Guinness Book of Records.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a Ghanaian media personnel, beauty queen and philanthropist entered the Guinness Book of Records competition seeking to break a world record of continuous singing for 105 hours. The pre event came with its own drama on end. The event saw almost all celebrities from the country, trooping in to support Afua. Not only that but an appreciable number of people visited to throw in their support as well. After doing 126 hours, Afua wrapped it up and congratulated audience. This event was indeed one of the few that got the whole populace following till the very end.

  • Shatta Wale Cancels Wolverhampton Concert.

Shatta Wale was in London for Taabea Ghana Music Awards UK which he won the artiste of the year eventually. He had another scheduled event in Wolverhampton but it was cancelled by his management because they believe the organizers couldn’t meet his luxurious demands.

  • Stonebwoy And Shatta Wale Fights For Stadium For Christmas Concert.

Early December comes with preparations towards events by artistes because it is during these festivities that they rack in the cash. Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy both had interest in hosting a concert at the stadium but Stonebwoy won at the end of the day. Shatta Wale then came to dirty him on the web.

  • Shatana Exposes Alleged Prostitution Outside Bishop Obinim’s Church.

Philanthropist and music songstress, Shatana exposed a couple of alleged night workers who plied their trade in front of Bishop Obinim’s Church. The story which trended for days and got Bishop Obinim responding to it. He dared Shatana to indeed prove her story was legit and she released a follow up video that showed the supposed prostitutes asserting that they rent and live in Bishop Obinim’s apartments which was just opposite his church, and served as a brothel. Hence, it gave them some sort of license to ply their trade in front of a church. This story stayed in the trends for days unending.

  • “It’s Only A Fool Who Refuses To Take Care Of His Mother” –Shatana Jabs Shatta Wale

This story came in early November and caught the attention of many netizens for days. Songstress Shatana was seen in a video shading a popular artiste for not taking care of his mother although he is spending and living lavishly. Many were the comments online that attributed the shade to the dancehall king, Shatta Wale because his mother went on interviews lamenting how deplorable her state was and how she has received no help from his son.

In a recent interview with Metro TV, the talented artiste boldly shared his thoughts on the rigid expectations placed on Gospel musicians in terms of dressing and music style. He argued that it’s limiting and demeaning to condemn artistes who don’t fit the traditional mold, simply because of their appearance or sound.

Using his own experience as an example, Joseph Matthew revealed that some gatekeepers in the industry have rejected him due to his dreadlocks and unconventional sound, which deviates from the typical ghanaian Gospel music norm. He emphasized that what truly matters is the message of hope and redemption, not the messenger’s appearance or style.

Joseph Matthew hinted on a virtual concert and a new album on the horizon.
