Kumawood Should Start Scripting Their Movies – Lecturer Advises

Published

on

Mr. Benjamin Oduro Arhin Benjamin Jnr popularly called Bnoskka has issued a word of advice to Kumasi based movie filmmakers to up their game by introducing the writing of scripts for the movies they produce.

He made this statement on Asempa FM’s Showbiz Review show last Saturday. This was in the vein that Martha Ankomah has disrespected their brands artistry as alleged by renowned actor, Kwadwo Nkasah, a.k.a Liwin. Martha Ankomah was said to have been contacted by Frank Fiifi Garbin, a director who was working on Liwin’s newest movie project. The actress told him, (Frank Garbin) that she does not want in on the project.

This reply did not sit well with Liwin and he took to social media to vent his spleen by calling out Martha Ankomah for disrespecting their hard work.

Bnoskka, a creative arts and copyright consultant who doubles as a lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba disagreed with Liwin. He explained that most Kumawood movies are sub par and need more technicalities to thrive. He said about eighty percent of “Kumawood” movies are without scripts and that actresses like Martha Ankomah are fully fledged and would not accept anything sub standard.

He concluded by saying that it will do the filmmakers from Kumasi to introduce at least fifty percent of scripts in their movie writing.

Check out exactly what he said from below.
